Season 2020-2021 Adaptations

"If you're doing anything as usual, you are not adapting" T. Cook

Quarterly commitment to RYC is required instead of for the whole season as we begin online only. Default will be to continue for subsequent quarters. Those wishing to drop must make their intention in writing prior to the start of the new quarter.

The schedule will change TBA -- different groups may not meet at the same time while online, tentatively on Fridays, with perhaps a second, shorter session for CV and CS offered on a different day. Rehearsal schedule will be announced August 30th.

Online sessions will be shorter: PV 30-45 minutes, CV and CS 60 minutes. In-person rehearsals (hopefully starting in January) will be as normal.

Tuition will be reduced while online:  Primo Voce, $40/month; Colla Voce $75/month; Consonare $85/mo. When in-person events are allowed, we anticipate the need for additional revenue for facility rental, PPE supplies, and increased staff hours; tuition may then need to be increased for the subsequent quarter. Partial scholarships are available.

Music must be learned at home rather than by 'pounding parts' in rehearsal. We will give you the tools to be successful.

Depending on enrollment, some groups may need to broken into smaller classes until in-person rehearsals resume.

No uniforms will be needed except for the teal RYC T-shirt, possibly for the whole season or at least until in-person performances can be held.

September tuition is included in the registration fee. These three sessions will start the third week of September with retreat-type activities and orientation to new routines. TUITION POLICY 2020-21

Parent Volunteer hours are not required at least until in-person events resume--either one hour per month or a $25/hour buyout.

New members do not need prior experience or music-reading ability this season. We will teach them! When we're ready to perform in person, they will have acquired the skills needed. Bring a friend to September rehearsals who has always wanted to sing!
