In 2007, the Rainier Chorale, under the leadership of Dave Davis, Board President, celebrated its 25th year serving the Kent community by hiring Artistic Director, Leora Schwitters, and Executive Director, Shannon Hesketh, to establish a youth choir organization as theri partner under the umbrella of the non-profit Rainier Choral Arts organization. In 2019, RYC gained its own non-profit 501c3 status, Tax ID 46-3355150.

Colla Voce was featured on a CD produced by the United Nations in 2008 singing the theme song, "We Sing for the Children" by local composer, Janice Hannesson Moen, with proceeds benefitting UNICEF. Colla Voce participated in the Pacific Rim Children's Choral Festival with Henry Leck in Hawaii in 2009 while Consonare did a performance tour of New York City in 2009. Colla Voce and Bella Voce participated in the 2010 Fort Worden Children's Choir Festival with Dr. Juan Tony Guzman.

Consonare and Colla Voce performed for the opening night of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Convention at the INB Performing Arts Center in Spokane on July 20, 2010. In fall 2010, RYC joined with Pacific Ballroom Dance to produce a fun Flash Mob at Kent Station. CS and CV both participated in the Spokane Area Children's Chorus  25th Anniversary Festival with Judith Herrington and David Brunner in June 2011.

RYC treble singers and the Sammamish Symphony, Rainier Chorale, Cantare Vocal Ensemble, Bellevue Chamber Chorus and Kirkland Choral Society performed Orff's "Carmina Burana"  in March 2011 at Benaroya Hall for an enthusiastic audience.

The Kent Arts Commission booked the David Benoit Quartet and Bella Voce and Colla Voce for "A Charlie Brown Christmas" in 2011 as part of their  Spotlight Series.

In 2012, RYC teamed with the Rainier Chorale to perform Rutter's "Mass of the Children" with orchestra at Bellevue First Presbyterian. The first annual RYC Summer Day Choir Camp was hosted in August 2012. Consonare and Colla Voce attended PICCFEST 2012 with Bob Chilcott.

The Argosy Christmas Ship Festival has included yearly performances by RYC ensembles.  Consonare and Colla Voce participated in the Pacific International Children's Chorus Festival in Eugene, OR, in 2012 with Bob Chilcott, and in the Youth Choir Festival Northwest with Dr. Andre Thomas in 2013.  Bella Voce sang under the direction of Rebecca Rottsolk at the Fort Worden Children's Choir Festival in May 2012, and there again with Rollo Dilworth in 2015, as did Colla Voce.

All three choirs combined to sing backup for Barry Manilow in 2013.  

Colla Voce and Consonare members participated in the 2014 Crescent City Choral Festival in New Orleans, working with Sandra Snow, Andrea Ramsey, and Cheryl Dupont. Both groups participated in PICFEST 2016, with Bob Chilcott conducting, accompanied in part by the Yellow Jackets.

Consonare joined Rani Arbo and daisy mayhem for another Kent Arts Spotlight Series in March 2017. Consonare and Colla Voce traveled to Ireland in summer of 2017. Bella Voce attended the Fort Worden Children's Choir Festival with guest conductor Elena Sharkova May 27-28 in Port Townsend, and Vocina participated in the Music in the Parks Festival in Federal Way.

2017-2018: Leavenworth Festival of Lights, Argosy Christmas Ship, an 'Unconventional Campus Tour of Seattle" including Microsoft and Amazon connections, Ft. Worden with Dr. Rollo Dilworth and Music in the Parks.

2018-2019: Consonare tour to Portland, OR; Bella and Colla Voce to Ft. Worden with Henry Leck and  Primo Voce won the First Place Trophy at Music in the Parks in Federal Way.

Consonare's 2020 Carnegie Hall Festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as were festivals for all groups.
